Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Will you give us a deal if we hire you for both our ceremony and reception?
A: Yes, I can offer a discount for playing music at both your ceremony and reception. Every wedding is different, so please contact me to discuss your details.

Q: Do you require a deposit?

A: No, I do not require a deposit. Payment in full is due by the event’s end. I work with you to make payment as easy and convenient as possible – whether you drop a check in the mail or pay at your rehearsal or on your wedding day – it’s up to you.

Q: Do you charge for travel time and set-up?
A: No.

Q: Will we get a contract?
A: Yes, I have a contract that we both sign, which states the date of the event, the hours I commit to play and the agreed upon rate.

Q: Will you stay overtime?

A: Yes, for a small fee.

Q: Do you have a playlist?
A: Yes, I have a 15-page list of the most popular, played and requested songs at weddings which I keep updated. Before every wedding, I sit down with the bride and groom to help them develop their own personalized playlist. With over 3,500 CDs, the odds are good that I have your music. If not, I will be sure to obtain any song you request for your wedding.

Q: Will you play guests’ requests?

A: It depends – if it’s appropriate to the event and the crowd, then yes definitely. If a bride and groom have specifically asked me not to play certain songs or types of music, however, I will honor that over a guest’s request.

Q: What will you wear?

A: My standard attire is a suit and tie. If you have a special request (a tux, for example), I will be happy to comply.

Q: Do you have professional equipment and a back-up system?

A: Absolutely! I purchase only professional-grade DJ equipment which I always keep well maintained and updated.

Q: Who will actually DJ my wedding?
A: I will. You can be certain that I am the DJ who will show up at your wedding.

Q: Will you be available for our rehearsal?
A: Gladly, with enough advance notice.

Q: Why should I hire you versus another DJ or DJ company?

A: Experience. One-on-one customer service. Professionalism. No overhead (prices stay reasonable this way). I enjoy what I do – it’s not just a business for me.
